About CrizBrain

CrizBrain is a free collection of thirty-five brain games designed for the small breaks in your day — the two minutes between meetings, the wait for a file to download, the coffee queue. Every game opens instantly in your browser. No download, no account, no tutorial. Just the game.

Why we built it

Most brain-training apps make you create an account before you can play a single game. Many put the most interesting content behind a paywall. Some require a download. We built CrizBrain because we believe a short mental workout should be as easy to access as a glass of water — zero friction, immediately available, and genuinely good for you.

Every game on CrizBrain was designed to be immediately engaging, not to be easy. There are no three-round difficulty ramps or tutorial sequences that treat you like you have never held a phone before. You open the game and it challenges you from the first second. Adults and children, programmers and artists, students and retirees — the games work across all of these groups because the underlying cognitive skills they train are universal.

The thirty-five games and what they train

CrizBrain covers a wide range of cognitive skills. Each game is a deliberate exercise in one or more of the following areas:

  • Reaction time and reflex speed — how fast your brain detects a stimulus and fires a motor response. Trained by Perfect Stop, Reaction Grid, and Gravity Flip.
  • Visual working memory — how many visual items you can hold accurately in short-term memory. Trained by Pixel Memory and Simon Says.
  • Inhibitory control — the ability to stop a prepared response when the situation requires it. Trained by Inhibition Spin, Stroop Test, and Off-Beat.
  • Spatial planning and reasoning — the ability to mentally simulate multi-step operations on visual layouts. Trained by Flow Fill, Untangle, One Stroke, and Mirror Dash.
  • Colour perception and visual discrimination — the ability to decompose complex colours into their components. Trained by Color Match and Hue Queue.
  • Motor timing and precision — the accuracy of timed physical actions. Trained by Stack, Balance Ball, Breakout, Pulse Tap, and Ring Shot.
  • Logical reasoning under time pressure — evaluating truth claims and equations quickly. Trained by Catch the Lie and Emoji Math.
  • Focused attention and pattern scanning — finding specific items in a complex scene efficiently. Trained by Number Rush, Drift Hunt, and Freeze Tag.
  • Numerical perception — rapid estimation and comparison of quantities. Trained by Dot Blitz and Crowd Pick.
  • Spatial memory — recalling layouts and positions. Trained by Grid Ghost and Scatter Map.
  • Multi-tasking and divided attention — managing more than one stream of input at once. Trained by Twin Task and Timing Trio.
  • Language and rapid reading — word recognition under pressure. Trained by Word Splash.
  • Sequence and chain memory — following an ordered series correctly. Trained by Chain Tap and Quick Sort.
  • Arcade reflex — classic catch / dodge / pop mechanics. Trained by Comet Catch and Pop Cluster.

All thirty-five games are completely free and supported by advertising. We do not ask for your name, email address, or any personal information. We do not run user accounts. Your best scores and preferences are stored privately in your own browser using localStorage — they never leave your device and are never sent to any server.

You can read our full Privacy & Ads page for complete information on what data is collected and how to opt out of personalised advertising.

🔒 Your game scores and preferences never leave your device. CrizBrain has no server-side account system and no analytics that track individual users.

Who is behind CrizBrain?

CrizBrain is an independent web project. The games were built using standard web technologies — HTML, CSS, and JavaScript — running entirely in the browser with no back-end server required. This was a deliberate choice: it keeps hosting costs near zero, which is how we keep the games free indefinitely, and it means the games work offline once loaded, with no dependency on a remote server staying online.

We welcome feedback, bug reports, and game suggestions. If you found a bug, noticed something that felt unfair, or have an idea for a game that would fit CrizBrain’s style, we want to hear it. Reach us through the Contact page.
